Meet Gregory Burt
"A Legacy of Service, A Passion for Healing Relationships"
Hello, I’m Greg Burt—founder of Power to Heal Relationships, LLC, and a man whose life has been shaped by service, resilience, and the unwavering belief that healing is possible.
With a 33-year career at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, I retired as the Deputy District Director, where I provided executive oversight to more than 73 VA Counseling Centers nationwide. My journey began at the ground level—as a Readjustment Counseling Therapist—offering individual, group, and couples counseling for over 13 years. I’m also a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran, having served with the 24th Infantry Division in Iraq. I don’t just understand trauma—I’ve lived through it. That lived experience continues to inform my work every day.
But perhaps the most important battles I’ve faced weren’t on a battlefield—they were in my own home. I’ve been married for over 30 years, and like many couples, my wife and I didn’t always have it easy. We’ve faced our share of struggles: miscommunication, recurring conflict, disconnection, parenting challenges, and yes—even infidelity. But instead of falling apart, we made the decision to fight for our relationship. And through intentional work, we didn’t just survive—we bounced back stronger.
That transformation inspired the birth of Power to Heal Relationships in 2022. After retiring from government service, I found a renewed purpose: to help others heal, reconnect, and thrive in their relationships—especially couples who often face unique cultural challenges that are too often overlooked in traditional therapy spaces.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and am currently pursuing a second Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lamar University. I am also a Certified Professional Life Coach and a Board-Certified Mental Health Coach. My focus is on relationship and behavioral health counseling.
I help individuals and couples who are ready to rebuild trust, stop the cycle of affairs, and create emotionally safe and connected partnerships. I also work with men and women navigating divorce—supporting them through emotional healing while helping them build a roadmap for healthier relationships in the future. I’ve had the privilege of helping clients break destructive patterns from their first marriage so they don’t repeat them in the next.
At Power to Heal Relationships, we don’t just talk about change—we provide the tools, support, and counseling people need to experience it. Whether you’re looking to save your marriage, recover from betrayal, or rebuild after divorce, I bring a mix of real-life experience, clinical insight, and deep compassion to help you rise stronger.
Your story isn’t over. Let’s write the next chapter—together.
